Ty Hafan & Convey Law – Fund Raising Achievements

We have raised in excess of £87,000.00 for the Ty Hafan Childrens Hospice to date and by the end of 2012 we hope that this figure will be in excess of £100,000.00.

At the start of 2010 we introduced the Ty Hafan Free Legal Fee Competition to our clients. This competition was fully supported by our introducers of business. Our clients pay £10.00 at the end of their property transaction to enter the competition. In the event that they win the competition, they have the basic legal fees charged by Convey Law reimbursed to them in full. The prize draw takes place at the start of every month in respect of the preceding months’ entries.

This very simple competition has so far enabled us to raise thousands of pounds for Ty Hafan.

On average we have been able to raise over £300.00 per month as a result of the Ty Hafan Free Legal Free Competition. This money is made up of the competition entry fees paid by our clients. All of this money is paid directly to Ty Hafan.

We reimburse the basic legal fees associated with the winning client’s transaction directly to the client, at no cost to Ty Hafan.

Corporate Sponsorship

We have been delighted to sponsor the Ty Hafan Midnight Walks over the course of the last three years.

We are a part of the Ty Hafan Cardiff Corporate Support Group and we are assisting in establishing a Ty Hafan Newport Corporate Support Group. We have thoroughly enjoyed attending at the various Ty Hafan sponsorship events with our clients, including the various Sporting Lunches and Dinners and the Bollywood Night in Cardiff last year.

Staff Fundraising Events

The staff at Convey Law are highly proactive in raising funds for Ty Hafan. Every month we hold a dress down day, with everyone contributing £2.00 for the privilege of wearing their casual clothes to work. Cake sales, raffles and jumble sales have all made a significant contribution, as well as our infamous themed fund raising staff parties!

Members of staff have taken an active part in the Ty Hafan midnight Walks in Cardiff over the course of the last three years, raising thousands of pounds for Ty Hafan in the process.

We are always looking at innovative ways to raise funds for Ty Hafan, from running the London Marathon to dressing up as a Welsh Dragon for the day.

Our fund raising events have had a fantastic galvanizing effect on the team at Convey Law and we are delighted to have been able to raise so much money for Ty Hafan.
