Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme Provides Funding for London Marathon Runner Jessie Bishop in Aid of the Charity Mind

The Conveyancing Foundation, in partnership with its charitable partners, has provided the first in a series of grants to Jessie Bishop, a Post Completion Supervisor at Convey Law who participated in the London Marathon on 23rd April for the mental health charity Mind.

The Foundation’s recently launched Charity Grant Scheme aims to support charities that are important to those in the property industry. The scheme offers grant funding of up to £2,000 to boost fundraising efforts for the chosen charities.

The Charity Grant Scheme is open to anyone in the property industry who wishes to nominate a charity close to their heart. The grant is designed to boost fundraising efforts for charities and is available to those already taking part in a challenge or fundraising event.

Jessie Bishop, Post Completion Supervisor at Convey Law, took part in the London Marathon to raise money for the mental health charity Mind. She completed the 26.2-mile race in 6 hours, 24 minutes, and 46 seconds, raising an impressive £3,000 for the charity.

“It was an incredible experience, and I’m so proud of myself for completing the marathon,” said Jessie. “Knowing that I was running for a good cause kept me motivated throughout the race, and the cheering crowds were just amazing. It was such a challenge, but I’m so happy to have done it.”

Jessie started her training six months before the marathon. She used a combination of gym and road running training, incorporating treadmill, bikes, cardio, rowing machines, and swimming. She also completed the Newport half marathon as a warm-up half-way point. Jessie’s training regime was intense, with at least two hours of training three days a week.

On the day of the marathon, Jessie endured two hours of rain before the race started due to the weather in London.

“It was cold and raining before the race started, but the atmosphere and cheering crowds made it all worth it,” Jessie added. “I was overwhelmed by the support of everyone, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, friends, and colleagues.”

Jessie expressed gratitude for the support she received from the Conveyancing Foundation and the donations from colleagues and friends. The Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme, the first of its kind in the property industry, provided Jessie with a grant of £2,000 for Mind, in addition to funds raised through book donations, cake sales, and other events.

“I’m so grateful for the support I received from the Conveyancing Foundation, my colleagues at Convey Law, friends, and family,” said Jessie. “The donations we received will make a big difference to Mind and the mental health resources they provide. It was an experience of a lifetime, and I’m glad I did it for a good cause.”

Lloyd Davies, Conveyancing Foundation Chairman, expressed his pride in Jessie’s achievement and congratulated her on behalf of the Foundation. He also highlighted the significance of the Charity Grant Scheme in enabling the property industry to contribute to their communities positively.

“Our Charity Grant Scheme is the first of its kind in the property industry, and we are incredibly proud of Jessie for completing the London Marathon and raising funds for Mind,” said Lloyd. “With the support of our generous partners, we look forward to awarding many more grants in the future.”
