Conveyancer to Tackle Wall of Death Climb in 2014

Geraint Aubrey of Convey Law Conveyancing Lawyers, is set to climb the Eiger and face a wall of death climb in support of Cancer Research this year.

In July/August 2014 Convey Law conveyancer Geraint Aubrey will be attempting to reach the summit of three of the most formidable mountains in the Bernese Alps, within just three days! The challenge will include the notorious Eiger – famous for its ‘Wall of Death’ ascent.

The three mountains Geraint will have to tackle are:

Mount Monch – at 13,468 ft above sea level, this is a mixture of rock, snow and ice climbing.

The Eiger- slightly less elevation at 13,025 ft above sea level but a more technical climb involving more rock and ice climbing.

Mount Jungfrau- the highest of the three at 13,642 ft above sea level will be the last to be climbed. Again a more technical climb similar to the Eiger.

The challenge will be undertaken over the course of three days with Geraint spending the nights on the mountain
and setting out for 12 hours of endurance climbing each day.

Geraint commented as follows:

“A massive level of fitness is required for this expedition and I will have trained for a full 12 months prior to departing. As well as being at the top of my game for skills including rock and ice climbing, which can be mentally and physically demanding, there is also o
f course a huge element of risk that I would be naïve to ignore. The Eiger is known as “the wall of death” for good reason. Even without the reputation of the Eiger, mountain climbing is an extremely dangerous sport.

“I aim to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research. We have set a £10,000.00 fundraising target. I would like to thank Convey Law for their sponsorship of the expedition and in assisting me with fundraising.”.
