Convey Law Donate £3,000.00 to Philippines Disaster Fund

National Conveyancing specialists show support to victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Specialist conveyancing company Convey Law, has donated £3,000.00 to the Typhoon Haiyan Appeal following the devastating scenes in the Philippines during the last month.

The company, based in Newport, South Wales donated the funds from their Charity Lotto which provides their clients with the chance to win a full refund on their basic legal fee by donating just £10.00 to Convey Law’s chosen charity.

Following the destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines last month, the company quickly decided that the British Red Cross would be the ideal beneficiaries of this month’s donation.

In response to last week’s news that clean drinking water is reaching millions across the Philippines, Disaster response manager at the British Red Cross Pete Garratt said:

“People in the Philippines have been through so much already, but they still need life-saving help. Without clean drinking water, they are at much greater risk from serious illnesses such as cholera. “It’s great that clean water is reaching people in need, but this is a huge disaster and there’s still a massive amount of work to do. Please give what you can to the British Red Cross Typhoon Haiyan Appeal.”

Convey Law has a proud history of charity fundraising, having raised over £150,000.00 for various charities in the last three years including Cancer Research, Ty-Hafan Children’s Hospice and Comic Relief.

Lloyd Davies, Managing Director at Convey Law commented

“We all watched in horror as Typhoon Haiyan struck last month. The devastation was horrific to watch and our hearts go out to everyone that has been affected. The Red Cross is a wonderful organisation which saves countless lives every year. At Convey Law, we are glad to be able to help them in any way possible with this donation and we wish the people of the Philippines the very best in their recovery.”
