• Salary: £35,000-42,000.00 pa depending on experience
• Reports to: IT Team Lead / Group IT Director
• Remote / Office based: Primarily office based with some remote working

The Role

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior IT Technician to join our growing IT team in which you will be given exposure to new and exciting technologies and the opportunity for continual development and learning. Among your key responsibilities will be:

• Identifying and resolving issues reported to the IT Helpdesk, being the first point of contact for issues.
• The roll out of new applications including policies, procedures, migrations, and training where applicable.
• Authoring new and editing existing policies and procedures to meet regulatory or accreditation standards.
• Tracking work in progress and recording issues and solutions.
• Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision.
• Supporting bespoke business applications and systems.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable values and ethics that mirror our own culture values and to be successful in the recruitment process you will need to evidence at least 5 years’ experience of the following in your CV:

• Managing hybrid/cloud environments, including AWS
• Supporting web-based applications written in JavaScript, including Java 8
• AD/Azure AD/Intune, ensuring secure user login and system access with robust permission management, auditing and rolling out applications
• Networking, including an in-depth understanding of VLANs, VPNs, and network security using Sophos and Unifi
• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based systems, including bash/terminal command toolset
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in administrating Windows desktop and server environments
• Virtual server environments, such as Redhat
• Telephony systems, particularly RingCentral
• Supporting ISMS requirements for Industry certifications/accreditation such as Cyber Essentials and ISO27001
