Other Charitable Fund Raising
On a monthly basis we hold a dress down day at Convey Law where we raise money for Ty Hafan or for other charities that have been nominated by our members of staff.
Here are some of the fantastic charities we’ve raised money for so far:-
Through a number of means, including a cake auction, raffle prize draw, dressing down for the day and a rugby passing challenge. The Convey Law employees succeeded in shattering their £700.00 target to raise over £1000.00 for Comic Relief. The highlight of the day was the opportunity to take aim at the Managing Director (or his picture at least) in the ‘Pass the Ball Through Lloyd Davies’ Big Mouth Challenge.
Alex Harris, who now works in our New Business Team and as a Youth Worker for the charity Caerwent Youth Club, encouraged everyone at Convey Law to help raise in excess of £125.00 for them. Caerwent Youth Club used the money to purchase much needed arts and crafts kit.
September 2011 – Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning – Total raised £296.00
Jo Salkeld, who works in our Title Checking Team put forward Macmillan Cancer Care and Support as our charity for our September fund raising. £2.00 was donated donated by all staff to dress down for the day. Cake sales took place throughout the company and a prize raffle was also held with a hamper donated by members of staff.
There were a number of ways the Convey Law employees raised the £500.00 total. £2.00 was donated by all staff to dress down for the day. Maddy Watkins created a fantastic ‘Red Nose Monster’ cake that was auctioned, cake sales and a prize raffle were also held.
But the biggest fund raising activity was a ‘Sponsored Leg Wax’, where CEO Lloyd Davies and other brave male staff members ‘willingly’ joined in the fun!
Alex Harris, who works in our Welcome Pack Team, introduced us to his chosen charity -Caerwent Youth Club. Everyone at Convey Law helped Alex raise in excess of £159.10 for his chosen charity. Caerwent Youth Club are using the money to improve their facilities by painting a mural with the monies raised.
Everyone at Convey Law helped raise £111.75 for Children in Need. £2.00 was donated by all staff to dress down for the day. Cake sales took place throughout the company and a prize raffle was also held with raffle prizes donated by members of staff.
Jo Salkeld, who works in our Title Checking Team introduced us to a charity close to her heart – Jeans for Genes, a UK children’s charity that aims to change the world for children with genetic disorders. £2.00 was donated by all staff to wear their jeans for the day.
